Julian Aguon, a CHamoru human rights lawyer and Pulitzer finalist, launched his current nationwide guide tour for his new memoir, “No Nation for Eight-Spot Butterflies,” with a Sept. 15, 2022, occasion on the Brooklyn Museum.
Aguon led this system with a studying from his guide, then sat for a dialog with V, the Tony Award–profitable playwright previously often known as Eve Ensler who wrote the “Vagina Monologues.”
Their dialog was illuminated within the background by projections of work by CHamoru artist Gisela McDaniel.
Following the dialogue, the viewers participated in a Q&A session and guide signing.
Aguon’s six-city tour additionally included stops in Washington, D.C.; Massachusetts; San Francisco; Portland; and Honolulu.
