Danny Westneat’s column on Madrona’s beloved James Gaines was achingly tender and spot-on. James was a person who knew what he needed, and manifestly what he didn’t need. He was graciousness, gratitude and kindness personified.
If we do one factor this vacation season, let’s increase our glass to James, and provides thanks for him — this mannequin of a loving, forgiving, light soul.
