Lenin statue: ‘An example of how art outlives politics’

Re: “Dear Seattle: We need to talk about Lenin” [July 9, Opinion]:

Columnist David Volodzko views this public artwork piece as honoring Lenin. I, like many Fremonsters, view it very otherwise.

It doesn’t honor Lenin or communism. We view it for example of how artwork outlives politics. It’s a highly effective image of this message and the explanation it ought to stay there.
