Canada’s Mackenzie Hughes makes charge at RBC Heritage

Mackenzie Hughes appears to be discovering his rhythm on the golf course.

The Canadian entered the clubhouse in second place after taking pictures 5-under 66 within the second spherical of the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head Island, S.C., on Friday.

Hughes, who had an early tee time, was two strokes again of chief Justin Thomas, who shot 10 below on Thursday and had a day begin Friday.

The Dundas, Ont., golfer has gone bogey-free in 36 holes this week.

Hughes had his first top-10 end of the season in his final begin, putting tenth on the Houston Open after taking pictures 66 in every of the final three rounds.

Hughes, 34, is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, most lately in 2022 on the Sanderson Farms Traditional.
