Canada’s Shapovalov, Auger-Aliassime ousted at BMW Open

Clay courts are not agreeing with Canada’s Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

The highest two Canadian males’s tennis gamers misplaced of their opening match on clay for the second week in a row on Tuesday on the BMW Open in Munich.

The eighth-seeded Shapovalov, who seemed to be battling flu-like signs, retired after falling behind 7-6 (3), 3-0 to 17-year-old fortunate loser Diego Dedura-Palomero. The German participant grew to become the primary participant born in 2008 to win a main-draw match on the ATP Tour.

In the meantime, the third-seeded Auger-Aliassime misplaced 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (3) to Argentina’s Mariano Navone.

The clay struggles got here after Auger-Aliassime gained two occasions on arduous courts within the winter, whereas Shapovalov captured a hard-court title in Dallas.
