Based mostly on California’s expertise, all that’s clear about both selection is that neither aspect can declare any revenue, or environmental profit, from a rise in ridership for his or her visions. They don’t have any management over that variable. And with out actual engineering, prices for both selection are best-guess projections.

If enhancing rail service so it doesn’t turn into out of date is the expectation, then enhancing the present system is sensible over time. The high-speed rail choice stays a wasteful and dear fetish of city elites.
