Gun violence: The role of hatred

Re: “Hate breeds more hate” [Sept. 1, Opinion]:

I agree 100% with cartoonist David Horsey’s prognosis of hatred and unbending dedication to gun rights that gasoline mass shootings.

Assault rifles, by definition, will not be weapons used for self-defense or searching, the justifications usually used to advertise gun rights. They need to be banned.

Alternatively, blaming all of the world’s ills on white supremacy and/or poisonous masculinity will not be going to cut back hatred.
