In my grownup years, I’ve watched with dismay whereas Republicans have taken their celebration from President Ronald Reagan’s “Morning in America”/“Shining Metropolis on a Hill” to President Donald Trump’s “American Carnage”/“I’m Your Retribution,” from President Richard Nixon’s pardon to Trump’s indictment.
In those self same years, I’ve watched the remainder of my nation attempt to transfer from “I’ve a Dream” to “All of us have a Dream.” And from Vice President’s Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Reality” to report excessive warmth indexes, whereas we “want” greater freeways to accommodate ever-larger monster automobiles for grocery purchasing and carpooling.
Is it any marvel our youthful generations are conflicted, confused and searching for nontraditional “therapies”?
