Lenin statue: Normalizes political violence

Re: “Dear Seattle: We need to talk about Lenin” [July 9, Opinion]:

Generally it takes somebody new to see the apparent.

Many due to columnist David Volodzko for declaring the actual hurt in internet hosting a statue of Lenin. It normalizes and “makes a joke” of mass homicide and political violence, a lot as statues of Robert E. Lee glorify slavery and “the misplaced trigger.” It’s embarrassing.
