For all their variations, you will discover one large, inexperienced and furry similarity when the Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros match up Friday evening: their mascots look irritatingly associated.

Sure, however: One’s a chook from the Galapagos. The opposite’s from outer area.

Flashback: Within the late Nineteen Seventies, the Phillies have been able to say goodbye to their revolutionary previous and colonial mascots Phil and Phillis. So that they reached out to grasp puppeteer Jim Henson for assist.

The Astros, in the meantime, have been underneath the guard of Chester Charge, a Texas cavalry soldier, within the ’70s.

The intrigue: Orbit was quickly ousted by a Texas jackrabbit named Junction Jack when the staff left the Astrodome in 2000.
